I am one of Burlington's family physicians who is committed to providing comprehensive care to all. I will care for newborns, children, adolescents, adults, pregnant women, and especially seniors. I would also happily continue your care in a Nursing Home, hospice, or home.
This website is designed to more effectively and efficiently communicate with you, while keeping you better informed about your health. This site presents general health information and is not meant to replace an office visit. Please print and bring along any information you wish to discuss to your next appointment.
We are committed to providing comprehensive care to all. Newborns, children, adolescents, adults, pregnant women, and seniors.
Many services you request from your family doctor have been removed from the OHIP Billing Schedule.
You should considering becoming a Member of the Annual Convenience Plan, so you receive the following services:
- faxed medication renewals - notes/letters for employer, insurance, schools, daycares - insurance forms - driver's physicals - on the phone test result consultation, where you will be contacted by your physician, or your physician's office with abnormal test results, rather than having you book another appointment which may require you to miss more time from your current work or busy schedule.
Funding for physician services has been cut since 2012. These cuts escalated uncontrollably and unilaterally in 2015. Moreover, the Ontario Liberals introduced absurd programs (like the Managed Entry Program or the New Graduate Entry Program) that have made it nearly impossible for family physicians to set up new practices. Similarly, the Liberals have made it very difficult for specialists to provide necessary services as easily as they did before.
Ontario’s Doctors compensated for the damage from the Liberal Government's cuts from 2012 to 2014. But now, the cuts have become so severe that we cannot make up for the Liberal Government’s short-sighted decisions on our own. Patient care is being affected.
All tests reviewed by physician are marked as APPROVED or REVIEWED. If the physician has a concern regarding a test, this office will notify the patient, advising them of further action.
We ask that patients be part of the follow-up process by calling in to ensure their test have been received. If you are told the test has been APPROVED or REVIEWED and there is no further action required, your tests were fine.
If you would like a copy of the results we would be happy to print them out and mail them to you for a small fee to cover costs. As well, you can drop by and pick up a copy. We are not able to fax or e-mail reports at this time. The staff are not qualified to interpret results and we request they do not discuss individuals reports over the phone.
Now the summer is upon us, everyone is out and active. It's time to shed the winter blues and get out and enjoy the summer sun. Unfortunately, with the increase in sports and activities comes the increase in concussion related injuries.
It is important to understand the potential long term affects of a concussion, and learn to spot the symptoms if yourself, or someone you know has sustained a head injury. Here is a fun and informative video that can help.
